JABALPUR: The MP government has admitted in the High Court its mistake in putting up hoardings of President A P J Abdul Kalam.
A Division Bench of Chief Justice Kumar Rajaratnam and Justice Dipak Misra warned the Digvijay Singh government on Wednesday against repeating such mistakes after a public interest litigation alleged the hoardings tried to gain political mileage ahead of assembly election.

The court disposed of the PIL following an undertaking from the state government that the haordings would be removed immediately.
Admitting the PIL filed by Kishore Samrite, a resident of Lanji tehsil of Balaghat district, the court issued notices to the Central government, the state government and the commissioner, collector and municipal corporation of Jabalpur.
The petitioner charged the state government with exploiting the President''s office for political purposes in the run up to the December 1 election.
The government did not take permission from the President''s office before erecting the hoardings in front of government offices and in other public places, the petition alleged.
